About Edward Jensen
After serving ten years in the U.S Air Force as an electronic technician, Edward Jensen attended the University of Colorado, receiving Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees. Following three years of professional practice in interior design, he founded the Interior Design Institute of Denver, serving as its director, while teaching subjects in design history, design theory, and creative painting. During the past thirty years Edward Jensen has divided his time as a school administrator, and professional interior design consultant, while pursuing his true passion in creating fine art. Interested more in the creative process and less in selling his work, he has amassed a collection over the years. Only three times has he chosen to exhibit his paintings, and only because certain art dealers have urged him to do so. His first exhibit was at the Kathleen Denhart Studio in 1972, where he sold nearly the entire collection of his masters thesis paintings. The next two exhibits were at the Brina Gallery in Cherry Creek North in 1983, and at the Riess Gallery in 1986. Edward Jensen is now retired, living in Colorado, spending much of his time gardening, painting, and writing.
